05Common questions

What am I entitled to if I am dismissed?

Depending on the reason for termination and your length of service, you may be entitled to severance pay, long-service pay and compensation for rights such as unused leave, as set out in Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021.

Can my employer dismiss me without a process?

No. A dismissal must follow the procedure set by law, starting with notice and negotiation. If you disagree, the dispute goes through negotiation, mediation and, if needed, the Industrial Relations Court.

Does LSR also act for employers?

Yes, we advise both employers and employees. Before taking on your case we run a conflict check to make sure we are free to act for you.
