01The situation
Foreign investors entering Indonesia in freight forwarding, export-import trading, manufacturing and agriculture were working in sectors classified as high risk under the risk-based licensing regime. These business lines need more than a business identification number: they require sector permits and verification before operations can begin.
02What we did
- 1Advised on capitalisation and structured the shareholders, directors and commissioners.
- 2Drafted the articles of association and, where relevant, joint venture agreements.
- 3Selected the correct KBLI codes and mapped the permits required for each high-risk activity.
- 4Coordinated with the relevant ministries and agencies until the licences were issued.
03The outcome
Each company was incorporated and licensed for its high-risk activities, allowing the investors to start operations with a compliant structure from day one.
